Waldorf Plus2–Doh!

So now Waldorf is coming out with a new analog synth called the Pulse 2. CRAP! I just bought the MoPho–not that there’s anything wrong with it. Waldorf does make some nice products though. The Largo is probably the best sounding VST I own. I can’t wait to see the NAMM videos of this baby to hear what she sounds like.

Blog Fixed

Updated my blog to the latest WordPress version. The last one really jacked everything up. Things seemed to be working much better, but I’m still having issues using Safari. Guess I’ll stick to Firefox.

James Franco

James Franco to play Allen Ginsberg, plus some interesting stuff about this fascinating talent. Read the article.

This still makes me wish that Lucas had picked James to play Anakin. Think of how much better those films would have been.

Technical Difficulties

Having some small issues with the new WordPress upgrade (can’t insert images into my posts). Once I get this ironed out, I’ll be back up and running.

Thanks!

Vacation

Been gone for a few days, so no new posts. Will give complete details of my California trip once I’ve recovered from: sunburn, sore back, and sunburn. In the meantime, here’s something to enjoy.

Nike Free

New Nike Free running shoes.

My buddy just got a pair of these. Now I’m super jealous. But since I just dropped $70 on a pair of New Balance running shoes last week, I can’t very well go out and drop $80 more.

It seems that people are starting to listen to the idea that our shoes are creating a lot of our problems when it comes to running. I have a very high arch, and the softer the shoe the better. My foot needs a little cushion, and a lot of freedom to bend. If my shoes are too stiff I feel it the next day.

This is a very good book to read if you want to know about running and some of the health issues we’ve created by not using the proper footwear.

Why Do I Always Want Things When I’m Broke?

I can’t seem to stop myself. I want a new motorcycle. There’s nothing at all wrong with the one I have, but it’s not big enough and not new enough. I keep telling myself that the joy is in the wanting, but that only lasts for so long. I spend every Saturday making up excuses to go to either the Harley shop or the Yamaha shop or the Kawasaki shop. I’m sure the salespeople are sick of seeing me and getting the “nah, I’m just daydreaming” routine.

I have three bikes in mind, and all three of them are beyond my current financial means.

1. Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Classic LT

2. Yamaha Road Star

3. Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic

Not sure if it’s going to happen, or if it’s in my pipe dream world (like moving to California).
